Photographer Interview | Diego Diaz Marin

Meet Diego Marin a talented photographer from Spain who's making a big mark on the fashion world by creating one of the most intriguing photo-shoots ever, using what seems like a cinematic scenery sometimes and very artistic methods on another, his approach to photography is more artistic than technical in my opinion and this is what made me want to know more about him. He has shot memorable campaigns for Schield, Just Cavalli, Aquazzura and done many photos to be featured in famous publications, magazines & fashion websites..here are his answers to our inquiries.

Professional:

When did you first start having an interest in a career as a fashion photographer?
Always, since I was a child of 8 years but I always thought it was impossible.

Where did you study photography & when did your career start?
I have not studied photography. I started to play with my little camera and  computer when I was a child but my professional career began in 2009 with Schield in Italy.

It is true…I think that in a picture you can capture every emotion.

How much influence as a professional photographer do you think one must have over a photo-shoot, regarding the theme, ideas and setting the mood..etc?
For me it is something that comes naturally, when there is a subject that interests me I think as I can to make the shooting and the best comes during shooting time.I always do my drawings  before a shoot, I think that these drawings are very funny but the best pictures always arrive naturally.

Do you prefer using film cameras or digital? and why?
For me Digital, because what I really like is to play afterwards with Photoshop.
